Thanks for stopping by last week on my launch date!

I really appreciate the notes and messages I’ve received about this new website and some of my artwork!
I’ve also had a few requests to host another Doodle Night, so watch for details about that coming soon to those who are interested. I’m glad to know others are catching the doodle-bug and joining in the addiction!
I’ve been busy recently with a couple of different projects to share with you.
The Summer issue of Staffing Now was published with NCASP and we’re gearing up with design for their 2014 Conference promotions.
This month I’ve created the theme and branding for 2014 and I know this is going to be a fun direction to roll with! We’ll be creating postcards, flyers, brochures, and more in the coming months as their registration is kicking off.
This poster was one that came up for Grace Community Church that I was excited to crank out. I have had the inspiration cooking for a while to do a chalkboard style piece, so when this project came up, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I love it when inspiration and application come together like that. It’s good for the muse. And hey, if you’re a local lady, why not join in on the yummy goodness at their Ice Cream Party!
A 6-ish hour drive down east to visit family meant I had a lot of time to kill in the car. My journals were buried in the back with the luggage (what was I thinking?!) and all I had were my pens and this pink cap. So what better way to pass the miles than with a personalized doodle hat!? I’m open for requests…
Here’s a sneak peek at a commissioned piece I’m working on. I love how these pieces sort of take on a life of their own. I start out with a general sketch as a guideline and let the doodle evolve as I fill in the details.
And last but not least, I’m working Summer hours, which means my kids are out of school and I’m finding small windows to get some art in while we’re at the park, by the pool, or otherwise dazing away the summer days.
So what have you been up to lately? I’d love to hear from you on Facebook or drop me an email.
Thanks for stopping by!
