Are we really in October already? Holymoly!!
Just a quick post today for this week’s What’s Up Wednesday:

I entered a Juried Art Show… What!? I know… Grace Gallery’s 12th Annual Juried Arts Show is underway this week and I was brave enough to submit two pieces. I entered my Hummingbird painting that I painted for my own Little Bird’s bedroom. And my Zentangle Inspired Elephant (which is available as print in the shop).

The winners will be announced this weekend at the reception. And all of the entries will be published in the online gallery after the reception, so that will be fun to have a permanent place in an online gallery!
I’ve been putting a few finishing details on my new studio sign. It’s just DecoArt brand Acrylics and a Sakura Pen-Touch white paint pen on a piece of wood we salvaged from a nearby construction dumpster (yes, I had permission to dumpster dive!). I haven’t decided where it will go in here yet, I’m thinking over the window. By the way, that candle on my desk is called Huckleberry Cassis from World Market . I just bought it this weekend and I’ve already burned it half-way down. It’s my favorite scent right now in here, the doodley label on the tin is just my style!
And these are my notes from Sunday’s sermon at church. I promise, this is how I pay attention during sermons. If I don’t, I’m easily distracted by what everyone is wearing and why the font on the slides are a little too far left and -hey is that a new candle?… Anyway… Does anyone else do that?
Oh, I almost forgot!! My sweet friend picked up this little gem for me. How cute is this!? There is no original artist named listed on the label, and I tried to hunt it down on the publisher’s website, but all I can find is that it’s made by GreenroomEco and sold in Target stores. I can’t wait to fill the pages! Thanks deary!!
That’s it for today. Hopefully my next post will be sooner than next Wednesday.
*DecoArt, Sakura, GreenroomEco, nor World Market have any clue who I am. I just really like their stuff!
